UFC 183 gets Miesha Tate versus Sara McMann

UFC 183 ‘Silva vs. Diaz’ just got a lot deeper with the addition of two former UFC women’s bantamweight title challengers.
A tussle between former Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate (15-5) and former Olympic wrestler Sara McMann (8-1) has been announced by UFC officials for the main card of UFC 183 which takes place January 31st at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both women have bounced back nicely since their respective losses to current champion Ronda Rousey. Tate has put together two consecutive unanimous decision victories over the likes of former challenger Liz Carmouche and the previously undefeated Rin Nakai. McMann also ended an undefeated streak when she took a split decision over former Invicta FC champion Lauren Murphy in Maine this past August.
Tate and McMann currently sit right next to each other at #2 and #3 in the official UFC rankings which means an impressive outing could get the winner right near the front of the line for another crack at UFC gold.
