TVP: Relive some of Cain and Fabricio’s most legendary victories ahead of UFC 188

When Cain Velasquez conquered Brock Lesnar on the pond in Anaheim in UFC 121 it marked the beginning of a new era. Enter the lighter, faster, and even more dangerous heavyweight model.
2010 was a massive year for Velasquez. He kicked things off in the land down under by becoming the first man in history to KO PRIDE legend Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria, thus earning himself a shot at Brock Lesnar’s UFC heavyweight title. Believe it or not, Nog was a slight betting favorite heading into their UFC 110 main event contest.
Cain would finish his 2010 campaign by destroying Lesnar to become the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion of the world.
Nearly 5 years later, Velasquez will take on Fabricio Werdum to decide who is truly the greatest heavyweight fighter in the world today in the main event of UFC 188. This will be Velasquez’s 6th heavyweight title bout placing him behind only Tim Sylvia and Randy Couture.
For Werdum, it’ll be an opportunity to defy the odds once again. His submission victory over Fedor and the way he beat Mark Hunt to earn himself this fight with Velasquez makes it impossible to count out the +325 as we head to Mexico City this coming Saturday night.
