Two titles change hands early on at SummerSlam

To say SummerSlam opened tonight’s PPV with a bang would be a disturbing understatement.

The Miz’s intercontinental championship was the first of three championships that would be defended on the night. Ziggler was able to grab the rope to break up a decent figure four from The Miz about mid-way into the contest. It appeared to be curtains for Ziggler when The Miz would hit his skull crushing finale finisher, but Zigs would kick out at the count of 2 and win the strap off of a Zig Zag. Dolph Ziggler is now a 2-time intercontinental champion.

The second title change of the evening came when Paige hit her Ram-Paige DDT finisher on AJ Lee to reclaim the Divas Championship.
