UFC 205: Liz Carmouche vs. Katyln Chookagian preview

These two women are going to be the first in the cage in Madison Square Garden, and they should be looking to put on a great show. For Liz, this is her second time making UFC history. She met Ronda Rousey in the UFC’s first female main event at UFC 157. Liz is 5-5 in her last ten fights, and really needs a win to stay relevant in the division.

Katlyb Chookagian is an undefeated fighter, and will be looking to stay that way in NYC on November 12th. She’s 8-0 as a pro and won her UFC debut over a very game Lauren Murphy at UFC Fight Night 91 back in July. She’s trained by Renzo Gracie and has a well-rounded game.

You can expect Carmouche to be proficient with her standup and be strong in the clinch. She’s well rounded and has a ton of experience. She too is coming off of a win over Lauren Murphy and has been in the cage with the elite of the division. I expect her experience edge to play a part in such a huge fight, and she could utilize her striking edge to control the action.

In what should be a competitive fight, I expect Liz Carmouche to win via unanimous decision.
