UFC 207 Highlight: Nunes deletes Rousey in 48 seconds

After a year away from the sport that helped solidify herself as a household name, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (12-2) played the role of the proverbial punching bag tonight against current bantamweight queen Amanda Nunes (14-4).
“The Lioness” made quick work of Rousey, 48 seconds to be exact, before recollecting the belt that she claimed earlier this year after defeating longtime Rousey rival, Miesha Tate, in the main event of UFC 200.
Nunes was as accurate as she was busy with her striking on the night. She hit 27 of 47 strikes in just 48 seconds scoring early and often at a 57% clip.

With Rousey now officially out of the title picture at 135 lbs, all eyes must move toward the Julianna Pena versus Valentina Shevchenko main event at UFC on FOX 23 next month in Denver, Colorado. Expect the winner of that bout to challenge Nunes for the title sometime next Spring/Summer on PPV.
