UFC 225: Anthony Smith finishes Rashad Evans in under a minute (Video)

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans (19-8-1) became the 15th man to fall victim to the power of ‘Lionheart’ Anthony Smith (29-13) tonight in Chicago. Smith only needed 53 seconds to dispose of Evans in the headlining contest of the UFC Fight Pass portion of UFC 225.

Evans, who returned to light heavyweight for the first time since being knocked out be Glover Teixeira in Tampa back in 2016, is now dealing with a 5-fight losing skid — his last victory came against Chael Sonnen all the way back at UFC 167 in late 2013.
For Smith, the 29-year-old vet couldn’t have asked for a better debut at 205 lbs. It’ll be interesting to see if he can crack the top 15 in one of the most shallow divisions in the sport today.
