UFC on FOX 15 Highlights: Holloway earns biggest finish of his career over Swanson

23-year-old Hawaiian Max Holloway earned the biggest win of his now 12-fight UFC career this past Saturday night in New Jersey. The ‘Blessed’ one was able to force 5th ranked featherweight Cub Swanson to tap with just over a minute left in the final stanza with a beautiful guillotine choke.

It also didn’t hurt Holloway’s performance considering that Swanson suffered a broken hand and jaw during the contest. We’re not exactly sure how or when these breaks occurred, all we know is that Holloway’s performance was every bit the “beautiful destruction” that Swanson has spoken of to describe his style of fighting in the past.

Full marks to Swanson for making it as far as he did with the injuries that he suffered. He’ll carry the first 2-fight losing skid of his career with him into the octagon for his next fight; we would not want to be the man standing across from him when the cage door closes on that night. As far as Holloway goes, check back with us tomorrow to see who we believe should be next for him after his 6th straight victory.
