Universal Title match added to WWE Fastlane

Goldberg killed two birds with one stone tonight on RAW in Portland, Oregon. The WCW legend came to the ring, interrupting United States champion Chris Jericho and Universal Champion Kevin Owens in the process, to accept Brock Lesnar’s invitation to fight at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando. Not only that, before he’d leave the ring he’d somehow coax Jericho into getting him a Universal title match against his best friend, Kevin Owens. Oh ya, you guessed it – he even made the list too.

Braun Strowman versus Roman Reigns is official for WWE Fastlane

Owens’ reign began after Finn Balor was forced to vacate the title due to a shoulder injury he suffered during the inaugural championship match at Summerslam against Seth Rollins. The prizefighter was able to come away with RAW’s top prize (with some help from HHH) after defeating Rollins, Reigns and Big Cass in a fatal four-way for on the August 29 edition of RAW.

With Balor riding the proverbial pine as we speak, Owens has hung onto the title for 160 days and counting. Come March 5th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that could all change when Bill Goldberg gets the opportunity to hold WWE gold for the first time since 2003.
