Video: Deontay Wilder KO’s Bermane Stiverne in title rematch
It only took 2 minutes and 59 seconds for Deontay Wilder to finish Bermane Stiverne in their WBC Heavyweight Title rematch tonight. But what an entertaining 2 minutes and 59 seconds it was.
In the follow up to their 12 round fight from early 2015, Wilder showed the world that he clearly wasn’t in the mood for a similar sequel. Wilder, in full swag mode, knocked Stiverne down three times in the final minute of the round; the third and final knockdown would put Stiverne to sleep in a very awkward position.
Wilder improves to 39-0 with 38 KO’s in his career after finishing the one man who took him to the distance tonight inside of New York City’s Barclays Center. Is a superfight to unify the titles with Anthony Joshua next on the docket for Wilder? Wilder was very adamant in calling out Joshua once again tonight, even throwing some shade at his not so fellow heavyweight title holder (Joshua currently holds the IBF and IBO Heavyweight titles and the WBA Super Heavyweight title) by calling him ‘A ‘Juicin’ J’ during his post-fight interview. Will this be enough to finally get Joshua in the ring with him? Stay tuned.
