Video: The Great Khali returns at WWE Battleground

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, The Great Khali, made a surprise return to WWE programming tonight to help out his fellow countryman.

Tonight’s Battleground main event between current WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton was contested inside of a Punjabi Prison, the same structure that was founded by The Great Khali years ago. So it only made sense for Khali to return tonight to help Mahal escape the prison to retain his title.

Mahal’s associates, The Singh Brothers, put forth their best efforts to stop Orton from leaving the cage(s) but were taken out of the equation.

Luckily for Mahal, Khali was able to make a brisk walk to the ring to stymie Orton from escaping the structure. Khali shook the cage, forcing Randy to fall back over it and would then proceed to choke “The Viper” as he held onto the cage as Jinder climbed out.

Jinder’s entourage appears to have grown a little more than 7 feet and gained close to three and a half bills as he heads into SummerSlam as WWE Champion.
