Violent dominance secures Nattawut and Van Soest titles at Lion Fight 22

The Sunset Station in Henderson, NV played host as the folks over at Lion Fight delivered yet another card that gave combat sports fan everything he/she could dream of.
Two title bouts headlined the outdoor affair; the first would see Lion Fight mainstay Tiffany van Soest take on Bernise Alldis for the women’s featherweight title. Van Soest was able to land a left uppercut elbow that would “fillet” the face of Alldis which would mark the beginning of the end for the ultra tough Muay Thai specialist out of England.
Van Soest fought a masterful fight, continuing to show us that she is nothing less than a violently precise ticking “Timebomb” just waiting to explode with all 8 limbs all over whomever is brave enough to sign the dotted line to share the same ring with her. The win would earn Van Soest the featherweight strap she lost to the now retired Caley Reece back at Lion Fight 13.
The main event saw “Smokin” Jo Nattawut knock Salah Khalifa to the canvas twice in the very first round. A right head kick and a left front kick did the job for Nattawut in a fight that could’ve easily been halted. Instead, Khalifa would show some major heart by surviving the next 4 rounds and landing some delicious shots of his own – but it wouldn’t be enough. Nattawut would take the Super Welterweight belt with relative ease via a lopsided unanimous decision.
The highlights below include a bout between up and coming star Gaston Bolanos and Damien Earley that was destined for instant classic status before it met an unfortunate ending. You’ll also catch a glimpse of the bright future of Muay Thai in the form of Christine Ferea and Brian Del Rosario; both competitors were able to pick their first pro victories respectively on the night. Also featured on the card was a closely contested battle between the always game Jason Andrada and Anthony Castrejon in a rematch of their amateur bout years ago that saw Castrejon KO Andrada via a deadly head kick.
