Watch: CWFC 74’s Joseph Duffy scores a monster knee KO in London

This past weekend was a big one for mixed martial arts with WSOF 15, UFC 180, and Bellator 131 all going down on the same night. Earlier on in the day over in London another big show went down in the form of Cage Warriors 74. What better time than now to take a moment and enjoy the handiwork of one of the many competitors who stood out on the night, Joseph ‘Irish’ Duffy.
A lot of folks know Joseph Duffy as the last man to beat UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Not only did Duffy defeat McGregor, he defeated him in just 38 seconds via an arm-triangle choke. Duffy would then go on to win three more fights before being choked out late in a title fight against the Italian MMA vet out of Zürich, Ivan Musardo, in what was considered a major upset. Following that defeat, Duffy would move on to become a professional boxer.
After taking some time away from competition to heal a broken hand, Duffy went 7-0 during 2013 with two TKO finishes in the sport of boxing. He would come back to Cage Warriors just a couple of months ago after what was nearly a 3-year layoff to sink in a rear-naked-choke on Damien Lapilus at CWFC 70 to run his record up to 11-1. This past Saturday in London, it was more of the same from Duffy when he took on Julien Boussuge. Check it out below.
That makes 10 career 1st round finishes for Duffy in the sport of MMA. Don’t be surprised to hear about him signing with the UFC sooner rather than later with another big year filled with international fight night cards on the horizon in 2015.
