WATCH: McGregor-Diaz face off gets out of hand; Holm-Tate much more cordial

As expected, things got very real when UFC 196 headliners Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz faced off at today’s pre-fight press conference. Just 2 days out from their welterweight main event, both men and their crews came very close to getting things started early inside of the MGM Grand’s David Copperfield Theater.
Diaz wasn’t shy about sticking his right hand in the face of McGregor; whether or not he was reminding McGregor about his reach advantage, just being himself and/or teasing McGregor about his stance (or maybe it was all of the above) is unknown. What we did learn rather quickly is that the featherweight champion wasn’t very pleased. McGregor was quick to slap the right hand of Diaz away with his left hand which brought both men’s crews and extra security into the fracas.
UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm and her opponent Miesha Tate just a tad bit more courteous in their showdown.
