Perro Aguayo Jr. cause of death revealed following tragic final match

We are now three nights removed from the tragic ending to the life of one the brightest stars in pro wrestling today. Last Friday night, in a tag team match that pitted Perro Aguayo Jr. and Manik against Rey Mysterio and Extreme Tiger, an unresponsive Aguayo would be taken to a local hospital after the match ended. Just hours later he would be pronounced dead.
After watching the match multiple times, we still cannot tell you what exactly the cause of death was here. All we can say is that no one was at fault – this was the definition of a tragedy.
Earlier today it was reported by MedioTiempo that Aguayo’s death was due to cardiac arrest triggered by cervical spine trauma.
It’s with heavy hearts that we here at FightBooth give our condolences to the family and friends affected by the untimely death of the man born as Pedro Aguayo Ramirez. We’d also like to direct you to an incredible article that gives Aguayo’s career justice. Matt Farmer of F4WON takes a heartfelt look at the great lucha libre practitioner’s career in a must read piece that you can find right here.
Below, you’ll find the final match of Aguayo’s career. Viewer discretion is advised.
