UFC Macau Results: Tyron Woodley makes Dong Hyun Kim pay for his mistake

Going for the same explosive finish in MMA can sometimes spell doom when you’re pitted against a fighter who knows it’s coming.
Dong Hyun Kim was able to land a spinning back elbow on John Hathaway in the first ever UFC Fight Pass main event contest earlier this year in Macau. It earned him a third round KO stoppage victory and a performance of the night bonus. Tonight, against Tyron Woodley, it earned him nothing more than a headache.
Woodley would land a right hand behind the ear of Kim as he attempted to end things early with a spinning attack. That would result in a dazed Kim falling to the ground and eating some nasty power shots while on his back as punishment for trying the same move in the same city twice.
With that impressive 61 second TKO, Woodley gets right back on track after dropping a UD loss to Rory MacDonald earlier this summer in Vancouver. The face of ‘Dude Wipes’ improves his record to 14-3 and keeps himself in title talks inside of the welterweight division. Kim, whose win streak ends at 4, falls to 19-3-1 and will look to bounce right back as he always does after his 3rd loss in 14 fights under the UFC banner.
