WWE: 25 bold predictions for 2017

Before we officially kick off 2017 with tonight’s episode of RAW out of lovely Tampa Bay, Florida, it’s time to make some bold predictions in regards to the following 365 364 days. This list was inspired by our friend @SeanSheehanBA and his annual top 20 bold UFC predictions list for SevereMMA

1. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson win the RAW tag team titles – twice.

2. Adam Cole joins NXT and headlines at least 2 TakeOver shows as NXT champion.

3. Mickie James is unmasked as LaLuchadora.

4. Trent Seven wins the WWE UK Championship tournament to become the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion.

5. Tye Dillinger comes out as the 10th entrant for the Royal Rumble match.

6. The Shield reunite as WWE goes faction heavy this year.

7. UFC stars Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor and Paige VanZant all appear on WWE programming.

8. Daniel Bryan comes out of retirement to squash The Miz at WrestleMania 33. He submits him with a YES! Lock in under 20 seconds and gets the biggest pop of the night/year. 

9. Kurt Angle returns as a part-timer. 

10. Both Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura make their main roster debuts at the Rumble.

11. Ricochet, Johnny Mundo and Rey Mysterio all sign WWE deals.

12. John Cena ties and breaks Ric Flair’s record of 16 world championship reigns. 

13. Bayley ends Charlotte’s undefeated PPV steak at WrestleMania.

14. Cesaro goes on an extended run as a singles champion.

15. Sin Cara gets released after yet another violent out of ring incident.

16. James Ellsworth goes on a short tag team title run with a member of the SmackDown roster. 

17. 205 Live doesn’t make it to 2018.

18. An all women’s wrestling Network exclusive show does big numbers after a very successful women’s tournament series (that is already in the works) airs on the Network. 

19. Kimber Lee wins the NXT Women’s Championship.

20. A blockbuster trade between RAW and Smackdown sends AJ Styles to Monday nights. 

21. Bobby Lashley leaves TNA to sign with WWE. He ends the year in a program with Brock Lesnar that spills over into Bellator in early 2018 and begins a working relationship between the two companies. 

22. The Undertaker wins the Royal Rumble by eliminating Braun Strowman. He challenges John Cena for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.

23. Much to the dismay of the IWC, Roman Reigns never turns heel.

24. Not only will the New Day remain together, they will add a new member.

25. Baron Corbin gets put over in a big way by a major superstar.

25B. Stone Cold E.T. wins the Royal Rumble match ;).
