WWE brand split is coming – here’s what we know

That brand split everyone has been predicting for WWE, it’s happening. Earlier this morning, WWE released the news via their official website that Smackdown will be airing live on Tuesday nights with a “distinct roster” and “unique rivalries”. Here’s what we know so far.
• The new era of Smackdown will go live on Tuesday July 19th at 8 p.m. ET. The shows were previously taped on Tuesday and would air on Thursday.
• There will be a Superstar draft to divide the RAW and Smackdown rosters.
• Each show will have their own storylines and writing teams. (Variety.com)
• Split PPV’s haven’t been confirmed although it’s highly likely considering we are now in the Network era which means ideas that failed before have a better chance of succeeding if the right minds are in place.
We will have plenty more on this subject from now until July 19th. For now, we’d love to hear your initial thoughts on the upcoming brand split below.
