WWE Elimination Chamber Results: Becky Lynch welcomes Mickie James back to PPV

Six-time WWE Champion Mickie James’ first WWE PPV match in nearly seven years (WrestleMania 26) kicked off the main card portion of the Elimination Chamber in Phoenix tonight and it did not disappoint. James, who looked absolutely incredible in her return to WWE programming in a losing effort against Asuka at NXT TakeOver last October, came up short again tonight against former WWE Women’s Smackdown champion Becky Lynch.
James was able to reverse out of Lynch’s dis-arm-her submission finisher into a roll up which was quickly reversed into another roll up, but this time it’d be the ‘Irish Lass-Kicker’ earning the 3-count and the victory to put herself back into title contention.
Tonight’s Smackdown exclusive Elimination Chamber event marks the first time that 3 women’s singles matches will take place on a WWE PPV. A grudge match between Nikki Bella and Natalya and a title bout between champion Alexa Bliss and challenger Naomi are still to come.
