WWE Fastlane Results: Goldberg is your new Universal Champion

For the first time since 2003, Goldberg is a WWE Champion. 

After squashing Brock Lesnar in just 86 seconds at Survivor Series last November, Goldberg, with the help of the mouth of Jericho, earned himself a title shot against Kevin Owens at the RAW exclusive Fastlane PPV tonight in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Owens tried to get inside of the head of his opponent by stalling continuously until finally deciding he was ready to defend his title. A psyched up KO then yelled at the referee to ring the bell and that’s when the distraction came. KO’s former best friend Chris Jericho’s music hit the loudspeaker and Goldberg hit the spear right after the bell rang. One jackhammer later and a new Universal Champion was crowned. The match officially clocked in at just under 22 seconds. Babies were hugged and women were kissed. 

Goldberg will now defend his Universal Title at WrestleMania 33 against Brock Lesnar next month in Orlando.
